This policy explains what information is collected when you use www.koreavisit.kr (“the site”), operated by Connecton Inc. (“we”, “us”), and what choices you have. If you have any questions, contact us at help@connecton.co.kr.

Information we collect

You can read the site without creating an account or giving us your name or email address. We do not run user accounts, comments or newsletters.

  • Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting provider (Vercel) automatically records technical information when pages are requested, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used to keep the site running securely and are kept for a limited period.
  • Emails you send us. If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, and use it only to reply and act on your request.

Cookies and advertising

The site itself does not need cookies to work. However, third parties whose content or services appear on the site may set cookies or use similar technologies:

  • Google advertising. We may use Google's advertising services to show ads. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and/or other sites on the internet.
  • You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices or, in Europe, www.youronlinechoices.eu.
  • For more on how Google uses information from sites that use its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
  • Where required by law (for example for visitors in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland), we will ask for your consent before personalised advertising cookies are used.
  • Embedded content. Guides embed Google Maps and Instagram posts. When these load, Google and Instagram (Meta) may receive information such as your IP address and set their own cookies, under their own privacy policies.
  • Fonts. Some fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your IP address when the font files are requested.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking cookies will not stop you from reading the site.

How we use information

To run and secure the site, to understand which pages are useful, to respond to messages and, where ads are shown, to allow advertising partners to serve and measure ads as described above. We do not sell personal information.

Children

The site is a general-audience travel guide and is not directed at children under 14. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under Korea's Personal Information Protection Act or the EU GDPR), you may have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or to object to its use. Because we hold very little personal information, most requests will relate to emails you have sent us. Contact help@connecton.co.kr and we will respond within the time required by applicable law.

Changes

We may update this policy when our services change. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
